The introduction of socialism in America was through the New Deal, a response to the financial meltdown of the Great Depression.

Take the bailouts of the financial industry today, and the nationalization of the home mortgage market, couple them with the probable election of Obama and a more-Democrat Congress (not democratic; Democrat), and - guess what? America becomes far more of a social welfare state than now.

Left unsaid amongst all the chattering about experience is the reason an Obama presidency would be bad for America – and for the world: The Europeanization of America.

For unknown reasons the American Left demands the introduction in America of the social policies that have failed the people of Europe:
• Benefits that outweigh any ability to pay for them
