The Left keeps demanding we respect the Office of the Presidency, linking as usual criticism of the whack job in the Oval Office with his shirtsleeves rolled-up and feet on the desk, with the Office of the Presidency.

This is nonsense on stilts.

How can I tell?

The President himself has no respect for the office. If the officeholder himself cannot respect the office he holds, then it’s pretty tough to expect us to respect that office - at least while he’s in it.

What drives my comment?

This.

The NYT - the NY Times!! - has an op-ed today that includes this sentence:
