Car Wash at the White House!! Operators are waiting to take your call!
Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsThe Left keeps demanding we respect the Office of the Presidency, linking as usual criticism of the whack job in the Oval Office with his shirtsleeves rolled-up and feet on the desk, with the Office of the Presidency.
This is nonsense on stilts.
How can I tell?
The President himself has no respect for the office. If the officeholder himself cannot respect the office he holds, then it’s pretty tough to expect us to respect that office - at least while he’s in it.
What drives my comment?
This.
The One, again, is holding a RAFFLE for the chance to have dinner with himself, POTUS Rex,[…]

Friday, September 9th, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsSarah Palin shortly will announce an independent, 3rd Party candidacy for the Presidency of the United States.
There, I said it.
Now before you decide I am nuts, the following:
The NYT - the NY Times!! - has an op-ed today that includes this sentence:
“So here is something I never thought I would write: a column about Sarah Palin’s ideas.”
The head on the column is NOT negative. In fact, it is exactly what most of America seems to be looking for: “Some of Sarah Palin’s Ideas Cross the Political Divide”
Here’s some more for red-meat middle-of-the-roaders (if that’s not an oxymoron too far):
“Let us begin[…]
Continue ReadingDems Tossing Obama, Part 2
Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 under Domestic, Politicsi haven’t done this before, but I have the feeling that the “wave” to which I referred the other day of Dems writing negative stuff about The One in order to get him to quit, or as a setup to primarying him, is growing. Consequently I’ve decided to provide an update to run more links to the Lefties throwing Obama under the bus - and off the ticket.
Just a few tidbits from today: TIME Magazine is asking if Obama’s “bad for the environment.” WaPo’s in-house liberal cartoonist is laughing at The One (via Powerlineblog). WaPo’s Richard Cohen in increasing his output of[…]
Continue ReadingIRS Filling-in YOUR Tax Forms?
Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 under Domestic, Politics, Taxes & Economyif this doesn’t bother you, you have far more trust in the federal government and the IRS and Congress than I do. More, I think, than do most Americans.
IRS: “Here’s your tax form and pre-addressed envelope. Simply sign, buy and affix a stamp, and return it in the US Mail by April 15. Thank you for taking advantage of this easy new service. We’re here to help. Sincerely, the IRS”
Sound farfetched?
It’s not. The Feds think there’s a $345B “tax gap,” the difference between how much of OUR money the Government thinks WE ought to be allowed to keep, and how much[…]
Continue ReadingThe Democrats are Throwing Obama Under the Bus
Monday, September 5th, 2011 under PoliticsIt is getting more and more difficult to go a day without seeing a column by a Democrat pundit on the damage Obama is doing to the Democrat Party.
Maureen Dowd is “one-and-done” with him. Salon thinks Obama is “Ruining the Democrat Party.”
James Carville, the attack-alligator of the Left, when confronted with the possible choice between watching Obama read the same-ol’ same-ol’ from TOTUS, or the GOP debate this coming week, said he’d watch the GOP debate. “…and I’m not even a Republican or even close to being a Republican.” Even Carville accepts that Obama can’t possibly win – so he wants[…]
Continue ReadingRomney v. Perry
Friday, September 2nd, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsRomney’s strategy is that he is a career businessman who knows how to create jobs, not a career politician who has not created jobs.
Frankly, though, we don’t need a CEO in the Oval Office. America is not a top-down nation - as Obama is finding-out. CEOs rarely are successful in government because they are accustomed to others doing what they are told. If a CEO approach could work, Obama’s approach could work; he certainly is telling people what to do. Problem for Obama - and for Romney - is that that is not the role of government in a representative[…]

Thursday, August 4th, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsTexas A&M Graduation Address - 2008 : Worth the read
This Texas lawyer, himself recipient of an Honorary Degree, is obviously opinionated, but to say what he did, in a commencement address, in front of a class of Texas A & M graduates, and especially the faculty, is amazing. I would have loved to have been there just to see the faculty reaction.
Commencement Address ( Texas A&M). Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2008 This should be considered must-reading for every adult in North America. It is extremely rare that anyone speaks the truth like this at any College or High School[…]

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 under PoliticsFrom Powerline:
Something to think about…
What is socialism, whether Bolshevik, Menshevik, national, Maoist, social democrat, liberal, or whatever flavor you can name? A set of economic principles? Political values? An attitude? Don’t head off to a dictionary or Google-land for this.
I commend to you Solzhenitsyn’s “Lenin In Zurich”, a book I read years ago. It is fiction, yet invaluable to the understanding of the last century, and the next. I am about to share with you a secret known to few: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Deng, Pol Pot, Castro, and Solzhenitsyn himself. And me. And now you.
Socialism does not exist[…]

The Obama Downgrade, Alphabetically
By BRET STEPHENS
Snapshots from President Obama’s efforts to improve America’s standing in the world, 923 days into his administration:
A is for the Arab world, and our standing in it: This year, Zogby International found that 5% of Egyptians had a favorable view of the U.S. In 2008, when George W. Bush was president, it was 9%.
B is for the federal budget deficit, which is estimated to come in at around 11% of GDP in 2011, up from about 3% in 2008.
C is for China’s military budget. For 2012,[…]

We The Stupid
Ann Barnhardt
I stand here in abject stupefaction. The so-called “right” or “Tea Party” in this republic is being so thoroughly rolled and defeated that I am struggling to come up with an adequate violent submission metaphor that does not involve prison rape . . . and they honesty think that they’re “winning.” Really? You call this winning?
• - Obama gets over $2 Trillion to spend before the 2012 election
• - There are no real spending cuts
• - There is a massive tax increase effective[…]
