Are Democrats REALLY Totalitarians? REALLY?

Many friends and acquaintances accuse me of being over-the-top when I insist on calling the Democrat Party the “Totalitarian Party.” They are certainly entitled to their opinion.

I wonder, however, what they make of this language of The Majority Leaders’ Amendment to current version of Obamacare?

Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part:

“… it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”

This is how totalitarians rule. This is not how Americans govern themselves.

Common Courtesy

Very little actually shocks me anymore in the political realm, but I certainly was shocked at Obama’s attack on the Supreme Court during the State of the Union speech.

Chief Justice Roberts as noted here his view of the “troubling” remarks.

But this isn’t about politics. This is about courtesy.

The Justices show-up as a courtesy to the President and Congress. No official attendance requirement exists. Just Thomas stopped coming years ago. As Roberts noted, the speech has “degenerated into a pep rally” for one side v the other.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung It on my back porch and filled It with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

Constitutional Government - or Obama?

This is an excellent concise summation of the current status of our Constitutional form of government, that we created in 1789.

The columnist discusses both GOP and Democrat presidents, and the power they have been allowed to accumulate - against their role as defined in the Constitution.

This is not the government we fought and died to build and to defend and maintain.

CBS News: Is Maxine Waters Really As Dumb As She Seems?

This is a great article and video clip.

This is the MSM heartland - CBS News, for goodness’ sake - asking if Kerosene Maxine is “as dumb as she seems,” and writing in the column accompanying the video, that, “she demonstrates that there is obviously NO intelligence requirement necessary to be named to the House Financial Services Committee.”

Government needs funding this year of $2.0 trillion (that includes the federal budget deficit, off-budget spending, and state and local needs). Private industry needs about $0.5 trillion. Executive Pay and Conservative Principles

Executive pay has become a hot button in the culture wars. The GOP needs to ensure its reaction to the Democrat proposals for the government to cap executive pay is not just a knee-jerk rejection, but is based on ideas other than the status-quo and increasing an unprecedented American divide between the haves and have-less, something that is not good for the body politic.
