Western Civ Needs Re-arranging
Monday, January 23rd, 2012 under Foreign Policy and International, Immigration, Politics, The Rest of the WorldA friend sent me this video of a choir in England. It’s only a few minutes. You should watch and listen to it. You will enjoy it.
It occurred to me as I experienced the music and images – and the goosebumps they induce, that, if this doesn’t affect you, if your response is anything other than warmth and love and hope for these women and their men, you are not an American, not an Englishman, not a Westerner. You are not someone who believes in protecting Western Civilization from its enemies, enemies who now are stronger and have more allies inside[…]

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 under Domestic, PoliticsLast night my son just walked into the living room and said:
“Dad cancel my allowance immediately, rent my room out, throw all my clothes out of the window, take my TV, stereo, iPhone, iPod and my laptop.
Please take all of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Then sell my new car. Take my front door key away from me and throw me out of the house. Then disown me and never talk to me again. And don’t forget to write me out of your will and leave my share to my brothers.”
Well He didn’t put it quite like that.[…]

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 under PoliticsThis was written by a 21 yr old female who gets it. It’s her future she’s worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big-government nation that she’s being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion. This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco, TX, Nov 18, 2011 (subscription required).

*PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .*
Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you[…]
Continue ReadingDemocrats Surrender to Taliban in Afghanistan
Saturday, December 31st, 2011 under Domestic, Foreign Policy and International, Politics, War and TerrorismNo, this is not hyperbole.
Here’s the link to Powerline, reporting from Instapundit and the AP.
We are in negotiations with the leading jurist in the Muslim Brotherhood, a man who has called for Islamic defeat of Europe and the US, issued a fatwa for the killing of Americans in Iraq, calls suicide bombers “heroic martyrs,” and demands a global Islamist caliphate. And Obama is SURRENDERING to him.
We evidently have doubled-down on Idiot Joe Biden’s line that the Taliban are not our enemy.
We are releasing Afghan prisoners from GITMO and sending them back to Afghanistan - your tax dollars at work.
If any parent with[…]
Continue ReadingPositive Coup-de-Grace by Newt on Romney
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsIn a positive manner Newt can finish-off Romney in the next debate with the following statement:
It’s true that my friend Mr Romney knows how to create jobs in the private sector - he’s done so, and done so very successfully. But the job of the president is to create the budgetary, legislative, judicial and regulatory environments for people like Mr Romney so that they can do what he has done.
Mr Romney has NOT done that; I have.
I am very proud of the jobs Mitt has created in the private sector, as is he - rightfully so.
And when I am your[…]
Continue ReadingWhy the MSM, Libs and Establishment GOP Hate Newt
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 under PoliticsHere’s the deal on Newt:
America must choose whether to give-up the American experiment and become like Europe - or not.
- Obama = Eastern Europe
- Romney = Western Europe
- Newt = America
That’s the choice here, folks.
Not really that difficult to understand why the country is moving towards Newt.
And it’s not really difficult to understand why the establishment politicians (who rely on government bureaucrats for their lifestyles), or the MSM (who rely on establishment pols for their stories and hence lifestyles) dislike Newt: Newt is going to CHANGE things… things which NEED CHANGING BACK to Constitutional, AMERICAN government.
In November 2012, American voters will have to[…]
Continue ReadingIslamic Governments Angle for Speech Curbs in the US - and Our State Department Hosts the Meetings
Tuesday, December 13th, 2011 under Domestic, PoliticsThis is utterly crazy - and more than borderline an attack on our Constitution by our own government.
“The State Department began a three-day, closed-door meeting Monday to talk about U.S. free speech rules with representatives from numerous Islamic governments that have lobbied for 12 years to end U.S. citizens’ ability to speak freely about Islam’s history and obligations.”
Newsflash for the Obama government: The US doesn’t HAVE “Free speech rules;” we have a Constitution that is the foundation for the Rule of Law in America, and at the very bottom of that foundation is the First Amendment - that CANNOT be overturned.[…]

Continue ReadingCalifornia to Apply Coup de grâce to Education
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 under Domestic, Miscellaneous, PoliticsCA is about to pull the trigger on a budget deal that will remove yet more money from higher ed and K-12. Why? To pay pensions and benefits of those unable to get a real job in the private sector.
How dumb is that?
I went to work for IBM in 1977, right out of college. After three years there I decided (dumb decision) to become a headhunter in the IT industry. After about a year I returned to IT, where I have remained.
What’s the relevance? As a headhunter you are looking for job openings and looking for good employees to fill them.
And,[…]
Continue ReadingForce Congress to Live Under the Rule of Law
Thursday, November 24th, 2011 under PoliticsThink about that title up there for a second. We are a nation of laws. We entrust Congress with writing those laws. Yet they refuse to abide by them and often give themselves specific exemption from the laws they pass to govern us. They seem unable to remember that THEY work for US, and not the other-way-’round.
Americans are CITIZENS, not SUBJECTS. Within reason and the Constitution, we do what we want, not what we are told. Many people of many countries do what they are told. We call these people “Europeans” “Chinese” “Russians” etc. We do NOT call them “Americans”.
All[…]
