Future Historians will NEVER Understand

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

So here we have a violent Leftie pushing some polite guy’s wife around – physically assaulting her, then punching the husband in the face.

Here we have Investors Business Daily writing on the completely failed European welfare state that Dems are ramming down the throats of productive people to enrich their union voters. This spending, in the event you have not figured it out, is all about power – all about buying votes. Stealing YOUR children’s future to provide unearned largesse to the lazy, good-for-nothing, anti-American idiots who vote for Democrats. Which is why, of course, real Americans are protesting.. and why union[…]

London Daily Telegraph on Obama

Friday, June 4th, 2010 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Foreign Policy and International, Politics, The Rest of the World

Remember Obama was going to repair our relationships with our allies?

For unknown reasons, voters actually BELIEVED that a liberal nutso-anti-American president with no understanding of anything outside the classroom other than what he’d read from Alinsky  could actually “repair” international relationships - or any other kind. I mean, heck, he’s already set-back American race relations 40 years, and he’s only been in office 16 months!

(One could make the case this is a result of liberal-union-mal-education of two generations of American voters, but I have made that case so many times I am tired of repeating myself. Do be aware, however,[…]

Only the Center Can Save America

Thursday, May 27th, 2010 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. That’s because, frankly, I am so completely disgusted at our president and inside-the-beltway politicians, and less and less able to see a way out.

The two biggest issues of our time are education and childlessness. Not only are these tough problems to fix - the fixes take a long time.

Il-educated by unionized “educators,” we have now generations of ignorant voters. These ignorant voters vote into office the extremists on the Right and Left.

No, the parties have NOT been captured by “Special interests,” they have been captured by the extremes.

How do you get extremes? Lack of[…]

Logic, Laziness and Government

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

Let’s talk about logic and laziness, and its impact on government.

One of the conclusions I have recently reached is that the Baby Boomers are extraordinarily, historically, appallingly lazy. How did I arrive at that conclusion?

Logic.

America once was a country in which hard work was valued. Dads worked hard at the office, the factory, the construction site, wherever. Moms worked hard at home and often also did the hard work of teaching and educating our kids - kids every family had. Teachers worked hard at their jobs. They stayed until their work was done or took it home. Multiple-choice (”multiple guess”)[…]

Baby Boomer Government and College Football

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

Our Baby Boomer, Democrat government (?) in action. Is there anything this Demo Congress DOES NOT think it must regulate?

This reply is in response to the article below… Boomers… can we just OUTLAW them?

Can anyone find this in the Constitution? The GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES dictating how kids play football?!!?!?!??!

If anyone still needed an object (abject?) lesson in the un-seriousness of Baby Boomers in government… here you are.

From the WSJ today:

Bid to Legislate Football Playoffs Takes Step in House

Obamacare, Education, Jobs and the Future of a Divided America

Monday, November 9th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Healthcare, Politics

What Obamacare really means:

As the two largest state budget items are Education and Medicaid, and since the Pelosi/Obamacare bill will put huge new requirements on states for additional Medicaid funding, the only way to get those funds will be for the states to lower the amount of money spent on education (most states have constitutional requirements of balancing their budgets).

By expanding Medicaid in the health care bill, Congress will set off political tornadoes across the country that will leave governors and state legislators to clean up afterward.  The math is simple, says Heritage:

State revenues are still in a slump and will[…]

The Problem with Rush

Friday, October 16th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

Don’t get me wrong – I am not a Rush basher.

To the contrary, Rush has done some very good things for the country. The only ones who lack this understanding are those trying to turn America into something it is not and never has been (and one hopes never will be), and those believing (unwilling to listen or to think for themselves) the stereotype fashioned by a media unable to compete with Rush in historical knowledge, popularity, ratings, ideas and the ability to articulate them to America.

So – what’s the “problem”?

He can do so much more – right from the[…]

21st Century Great Powers - Who, Who Not, and Why

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Foreign Policy and International, Politics, The Rest of the World, War and Terrorism

As the world’s Great Powers re-orient themselves following the major geopolitical occurrences of the post-Soviet world – the rise of Islamists and the utter and complete failure of America and the West to deal with this rise — it is interesting to watch the strategies of the once-and future Great Powers. What Powers will be willing to take what measures appropriate to the threats they perceive to a world order that benefits themselves? Which Powers will not – and so fade from the stage as no longer important to the functioning of the planet and its peoples?

Who are the Great[…]

We Are Broke - Our Government is Totally Out of Control

Friday, July 17th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics, Taxes & Economy

So – here’s the deal in a nutshell according to the Director of the Congressional Budget Office (currently run by Democrats as they control Congress).

“Under current law, the federal budget is on an unsustainable path, because federal debt will continue to grow much faster than the economy over the long run… As a result of those deficits, federal debt held by the public will soar from 41 percent of GDP at the end of fiscal year 2008 to 60 percent at the end of fiscal year 2010.”

–CBO Director, 16 July 2009 in testimony to Congress.

Pretty grim huh? And don’t pretend that[…]

Regarding the Economy

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 under Baby Boomers, Politics

In this OpEd the WSJ published a rant about Obama’s rhtetoric, concluding that, ”A more cool-headed assessment of the economy’s woes might produce better policies.”

“Better” as in ‘better for Americans, their families and their future’? Or “better” as in ‘turning America into a socialist economy and political system reined over by illiberal Democrats for generations to come’?

The author does not say.

It is foolish to assume - as the Right always does - that the Left has the same goals of freedom, prosperity, liberty and an educated citizenry as does the Right. They don’t and they never have. Failure to understand this results in[…]
