Should America complete our post-war colonization of Europe, or continue the current path & allow it to disappear beneath the muslim invasion?
We have defended them since 1945 on our dime. Colonization is expensive.
(It is odd that we have defended them for 70 years against invasion by essentially Western, totalitarian USSR/Russia, but now are enabling their invasion by a non-Western, and far more totalitarian islam…)
We have watched as they have become more decadent, self-possessed and disinterested in their own future. Colonized countries often do this.
With their defense paid for they have failed to raise future generations and now require immigrants to sweep their streets & wait their tables, and American taxpayers to fund their defense with our dollars and our kids, as they loaf through middle age while Americans work ever-longer hours to pay Europe’s defense bills.
Their trade with us, however, is large. In 2015, we exported to Europe $320M & imported $490M.
Because the invading islam is a 7th-Century ideology with no education, manufactures, art or literature or inventions to speak of (i.e. zero intellectual property – movies, books, music:, patents, the 2nd-largest area of trade between modern nations), and the rejection of participation of half their population in academic or commercial life, the overrunning of what are essentially our European colonies (given that they refuse their own defense, what else can they be called?) will destroy nearly $1T in annual trade.
In turn this will destroy millions of American jobs. Which will destroy millions of American families, the ability of millions of American kids – our future – to attend college, buy homes, raise families… and prevent our own economy from growing.
The historically abrupt halt to trade that will occur should America choose to let this invasion play-out will have an impact on America far larger than the Great Depression. Back then we made our own – everything. We now lack the ability to make nearly our own … anything. Half our voters also demand European-style benefits and the raping of future generations to pay for them (raping of conservatives; Democrats don’t have replacement fertility anywhere on the planet).
It would be amazing that no economist or economic historians are yet dealing with this but for the fact that they’d be drummed-out of their profession for such un-PC research & writing. Not that it matters; history happens, too, when it is not written about.
America has two broad choices to make re: Europe.
1. Let their sloth play-out, their culture & civilization disappear & quit paying for a future they refuse to populate. (If they don’t care why should we?) This can happen quickly by our recognition of it and pulling back, or slowly by continuing our current policies. Either fast or slow, Europe will disappear; how much more do we want to flush down that drain postponing the inevitable is the question.
2. Formalize our colonization of them, tax them for their costs, implement taxation/benefit/work policies similar to ours to coax from them their latent productivity – and children – while defending their borders & ensuring the rule of law & Western human rights (no, they are not “universal,” if they were, non-Western nations would respect them). And wait for them to grow up.
There is an Option 2A, of course: let Russia colonize them. Russia is far more educated, capitalistic and productive than islam. With Europe as a near-abroad, perhaps latent desire for a better future could cause Russians to stop drinking themselves to death and have a responsible future they’d be willing to work for?
Absent formal, imperial intervention, Europe is toast. The question is – which are we more willing to absorb: the moderate impact of imperialism, or the, perhaps existential, impact of Islamization?
There is no Option 3. That would require Europe growing up right now. Not gonna happen.
