Trump Singing our National Anthem – Others don’t even remember the words

Politics is, it is said, the ‘art of the possible,’ yet in this race, Trump stands out as almost the only one telling us what it is possible for us to do. (Cruz makes an effort, which is why he’s gaining ground.)

Trump is saying what Americans always have believed, until Democrats and the Progressive (establishment) GOP snuggled up next to each other, turned Left – and put America’s future in the rear-view mirror.

Hillary tells us it’s not possible to do anything new, positive, uplifting – or anything but more of the same old Democrat interest-group, socialist, class warfare, identity politics that have caused Democrat voters to present to America Ferguson, Baltimore, Detroit, 62% labor force participation, the worst economic recovery since 1945, 50,000,000 Americans on food stamps, real unemployment in the double digits since 2008, a loss in Iraq and Afghanistan, no net new jobs in 8 years, reduced opportunity – especially for women & minorities, reduced spirits, uncontrolled borders sapping the wages of the American worker, more racism than at any time since Bull Conner, rising rates of violent crime – and a fading national identity and purpose.

Bernie, the Democrat response to the fact that the Democrat base hates the Democrat establishment more than at any time since 1968, when the base wanted McCarthy, the establishment shoved Humphrey down their throats and the Democrats did what Democrats do: rioted all over Chicago – and then got wiped out by Nixon. (The Dem base hates the Dem establishment almost as much as the GOP base hates the GOP establishment.)

The Democrat leadership are campaigning as though it’s 1932 (and the NYT is extolling the benefits of communismsome things never change), and no one knows yet the ravages that socialism and communism – always – bring to economies, the environment, to society, families and individuals. Bernie wants to give us the same thing Hillary does – only harder.

Slow Joe Biden, gaffe machine extraordinaire, doesn’t realize that national politics in a superpower are not the same as making dumb, often racist comments while nuzzling the mayor’s wife.

Joe: This ain’t some hick town in some hick state at some hick barbeque where you get to fondle all the hick women because all their hick husbands are afraid of your political machine, and everyone knows you’re just a mean old man pretending to be harmless. Makes the rest of America wonder what the heck is wrong with Delaware voters – or did they just want to keep you out of their state for the rest of your life?

No current Democrat leader wants anyone to go back to work or to care about our national future:

No, it’s not possible to build new homes here in this Democrat ‘hood: “We have ours and the land & view are more important than the needs or desires of your family.” (What’s not possible is for Democrats to return tens of millions to work and still buy their votes with welfare.)

No, it’s not possible to build homes for families out in the suburbs – they need to live in tiny little apartments and take tiny little trains to their tiny little jobs so we can control them better here in the cities our policies have destroyed.

No, it’s not possible to build this pipeline and create 20,000 new jobs. We need to continue to put towns and cities at risk by shipping millions of barrels of oil in trains and trucks.

No, it’s not possible to put up a wall to protect this great treasure that is America – even though we Democrat leaders put walls around our homes, our neighborhoods, our schools, our valuables, ourselves, our banks, our limousines, our jets… (100,000 jobs? – any worker still voting Democrat is voting for permanent unemployment)

No, it’s not possible to secure our borders and raise earnings of the working people by reducing the supply of low-skill workers.

No, it’s not possible to win a war by defeating our enemies – that would be mean.

No, it’s not possible to fix the absurd, and absurdly long and complex tax code.

No, it’s not possible to fix education by firing crappy teachers, overhauling tenure, outlawing government unions and raising the entry bar to Schools of Education.

No, it’s not possible to fix entitlements that already have robbed your grandkids – we need to keep pretending they will be fine until we are dead – and they are screwed. (Then who will deal with the problems Boomer Dems have left America? If the current crop of septuagenarians are the Democrat varsity, they have no JV. You may have noticed they have been losing governorships and state legislatures in droves.)

No, it’s not possible to put America first – foreigners have needs that are more important.

No, it’s not possible to… well, you get the idea.

For Democrats NOTHING is possible, not even consequences.

It is foolish to pretend the GOP leadership is any better.

No, it is not possible to cut $100B from the budget (yes, we know we promised we’d do so in 2010 to get you to vote for us).

No, it is not possible to repeal Obamacare (yes, we know we promised we’d do so in 2012 to get you to vote for us).

No, it is not possible to defund Obamacare or Executive Amnesty (yes, we know we promised we’d do both in 2014 to get you to vote for us).

No, it’s not possible to fix entitlements that already have robbed your grandkids – we need to keep pretending they will be fine until we are dead – and they are screwed.

No, it’s not possible to take-on the teacher unions – even though the vast majority of Americans want to – and, judging by the thousands of WI teachers that pulled the ripcord and bailed out of them as soon as allowed, not even the teachers want to be in them.

No, it’s not possible to manage a simple investigation and hold people accountable for egregious violations of the law and national security, not in Benghazi, not in F&F, not in IRS, not in voter fraud, and not even in an email server we let sit under the control of a known serial liar and lawbreaker for months until she had the chance to wipe it clean.

No, it’s not possible to secure our border – it’s just mean not to put foreigners first.

No, it’s not possible to win a war by defeating our enemies – that would be mean, and the Democrats and media wouldn’t like us anymore. Besides, if we fought to win we couldn’t buy as much overpriced stuff from our donors in the military industrial complex.

No, it’s not possible to fix the absurd, and absurdly long and complex tax code.

No, it’s not possible to expect good, adult behavior from minorities – we might lose the ‘hood vote.

No, it’s not possible to cut welfare and expect people to take responsibility for themselves.

No, it’s not possible to throw out the absurd monstrosity of Common Core – but we must hire more foreign workers because ours are too dumb.

It’s not possible” is not even in the American DNA. Yet all other candidates of both parties are running on it as their platform.

Boomer voters are lost causes. Worse, they’ve all gone over to the other side to work against We the People and the Rule of Law. They’ve created this mess and are in the process of leaving it to the next generations as they wave goodbye from the Lido deck, nuzzling the pensions and Social Security that we’ve paid for but which no longer will exist for us.

On the Left Boomers demand economic and government policy that leave catastrophe in their wake every single time. They hate the Rule of Law because law requires consequences and not a single platform in the Democrat Party, nor single cell in the Democrat brain, accepts that consequences not only do follow actions, they must follow lawbreaking – or you cannot have the Rule of Law.

And America – is – the Rule of Law.

Voters? Pshaw – they’re the little people; Progressive Democrats in the Ruling Class know what’s best for them.

Boomers on the Right are no better. GOP leadership is just as Progressive as are Democrats: Would anything be different today had the Democrats trounced the GOP in the 2014 midterms? No.

Voters? Pshaw – they’re the little people; Progressive Republicans in the Ruling Class know what’s best for them.

GenY and Millennials have lived their entire aware lives being told their reach cannot exceed the grasp of a bunch of geriatric men & women Congress too scared of the future to approach it, too afraid they’d wet their Depends if they actually trusted the voters with liberty – which is their only job. Millennials have spent their formative years watching Mom & Dad look for work, become anxious about what work they have been able to find, and worry themselves sick about how to provide for their children. These are the same millennials who have read and heard nonstop that for the first time in American history a generation – their generation – will not have the living standard nor opportunities of their parent’s generation.

Do you really think those kids are going to vote for the idiots who have not only reduced their future – but demand to keep doing so, that it’s the “new normal”?

No.

… and along comes Trump: “We can be great again.”

Trump is telling everyone what is possible.

Trump is saying what Americans always have said: Your reach must exceed your grasp: Aim high, for there is no other way to accomplish your dreams. It is possible to succeed.

Sure – it’s possible to secure the borders.

Sure – it’s possible to keep growing productivity, families, homes and still protect the environment

Sure – it’s possible to fix entitlements.

Sure – it’s possible to fix education.

Sure – it’s possible to make good deals with foreign governments, friends and adversaries.

Sure – it’s possible to put Americans back to work.

Pie in the sky? Nope.

America always has reached high and far. It’s what America has always been about. It’s what makes us the exceptional nation to which people from all other nations and walks of life want to come.

Trump is saying it out loud.

And good for him and damn straight.

It’s our desultory, disgusting, declining political class that tells us what it isn’t possible for us to do.

While Trump tell us what’s possible.

Which is why he will be our next president.

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.
