Why does the GOP continue to talk-down Romney’s chances? Why is the Establishment GOP too timid to GET STUFF DONE?
My view is that we never have gotten over being the minority party from 1950-1994. We have not acted as the Majority Party in my lifetime, and have not forced the Dems to act as the minority Party. I think it’s that simple.
We have all these guys – our old guard – who were there pre-1994 and that’s the way they continue to act. They also have trained-up some set of new guys to act like they did in pre-1994… this is the Establishment Republican guard…
We have to keep pushing tea party folks to get elected and force the Dems to BE the minority party, whether or not they want to, and force the GOP, when in the Majority – to ACT LIKE IT.
Look what happened in 2000: The Senate was 50-50 and we had the VP tie-breaker, and W & the GOP “leaders” split Senate Committee Chairmanships 50-50. Can you even IMAGINE any Democrat doing that when they had a 51-50 majority?
Not a chance in hell.
When the voters give the GOP the majority, it’s for a REASON. It’s time – past time – the GOP ACTED LIKE IT.
Assuming we retain the House and win the Senate, and that Romney takes the Presidency from the Occupy Oval Office oaf, the GOP had better start acting like the Majority party and start cutting spending, closing Cabniet departments, reforming taxes, and telling the minority party to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP. If the voters wanted Dem policies, they’d send Dems to DC.
It’s time to bring a halt to this welfare state crap. And THAT, above all else, is why we send to DC the GOP instead of the Dims.
