If you’ve been following the ratings wars as reported daily you know that millions fewer people are watching CNN now than a few years back. Their prez quit last week, Cooper tried to up his ratings by coming out of the closet (nobody cares), but they still insist on their liberal bias in article selection, “reporter” & anchor selection, reporting itself & all the editorial.
One might think that they’d learn from Air America’s history. One might think they could learn from Fox. One might even think they could learn from the demise of Newsweek.
But, alas, if liberals could learn from history at all, they’d cease to be liberals. And, if they reported the facts, they’d have to become Conservatives because, as Margaret Thatcher observed years & years ago: “The facts of life are conservative.”
There has been lots of commentary on the tanking of CNN. This commentary has driven (natch) lots of great comments posted by intelligent readers. But the comment that has captured the entire issue in one short simile is this one:
“CNN’s ratings are going down like Bwarney Fwank at a NAMBLA convention.”

Sums it up pretty well, doesn’t it?
