D-Day Memorial and American Presidents

In all the years since D-Day,   there are three occasions on which an American president rejected making a memorial speech and/or visit honoring the American soldiers killed during the invasion that was the beginning of the end for the continential enemies of freedom.

The occasions were:

1. Barack Obama 2010

2. Barack Obama 2011

3. Barack Obama 2012

For the past 68 years, all American presidents except Obama have paid tribute to the soldiers  who made the ultimate sacrifice on June 6, 1944, to return peace and freedom to europe.

This year, instead of honoring the soldiers, he made a campaign trip on Air Force 1 to California to raise funds for the upcoming election – the election that will give him more “flexibility” in dealing with the Russians… you know.. those folks who have been trying since 1945 to remove the freedom those soldiers gave their lives to bring to europe…

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.

It almost appears as if Snopes skirts your actual claim in order to give the impression they are calling it false. They are wording the claim different. Therefore making it false.

Snopes is a liberal biased site. Remember during obama’s first campaign? He claimed to visit all 57 states and had 1 more to visit?? LOL

According to Snopes, it wasn’t a gaffe. Snopes claims obama was making reference to visit 57 ISLAMIC States!!!! Can you say “Biased Bull#hit? During a campaign speech for POTUS why would he boast about visiting Islamic states??

  4. Fh494 says:

It’s ” visit and or speech” not just a visit to a memoral. Not all Presidents have visited a memoral, but all have had speeches and paid tribute on D-day. Except Obama.

D-Day Memorial not mentioned…aside from the TITLE.

What are your sources to back your claim? And don’t name a source that I don’t approve of…

How many times did Bush visit?

Two comments to the above posters:

    1. When researching the accuracy of my post you referenced articles commenting on the D-Day Memorial. You’ll notice that is not in my post as that Memorial is rather new, so of course all presidents haven’t visited it.

    2. Snopes is a liberal outlet, FYI. It is not at all unusual to find stuff declared fictional that is true or to find them spin something factual so as to make it sound untrue. Have to be careful of your sources….
