In a positive manner Newt can finish-off Romney in the next debate with the following statement:
It’s true that my friend Mr Romney knows how to create jobs in the private sector – he’s done so, and done so very successfully. But the job of the president is to create the budgetary, legislative, judicial and regulatory environments for people like Mr Romney so that they can do what he has done.
Mr Romney has NOT done that; I have.
I am very proud of the jobs Mitt has created in the private sector, as is he – rightfully so.
And when I am your president I will use my background of balancing the budget and shrinking the legislative and regulatory burden on people like Mitt as they – and he – continue to create jobs in the private sector.
I know Mitt will thank me for this later when he returns to the private-sector job creation he does so well.
