Three points – two tactical, one strategic:
#1 Tactical: Reid (D) refused to bring Obama’s anti-Jobs bill to a vote. McConnell (R) asked Reid (D) to bring Obama’s anti-Jobs bill up for a vote. Reid (D) said “No” and went on vacation, and promised to bring-up Chinese currency issues on return rather than Obama’s anti-Jobs bill. –>>> It’s the Dems refusing to vote on this.
#2 Tactical: This is a BIPARTISAN REJECTION of Obama’s nonsense. Just like the 97-0 BIPARTISAN “Shellacking” of Obama’s “Budget” last Spring that also was not reported as the bipartisanship the media wants…. I think if the MSM really WANTED bipartisanship, they’d rejoice when they got it. Let’s hear some rejoicing, OK?
Strategic: The Constitution set-up the House of Representatives as the body – of the entire US Government – closest to the people, closest to the will, the temperament, etc. (This is why taxes can ONLY be raised by the House.) So – when the People historically throw-out the Dems in the House, replacing them with GOPers in the House, for one to complain that the “House GOP” is getting in O’s way is EXACTLY THE SAME as saying “the voters are getting in O’s way,” Right? Right. Net, those complaining about the House GOP getting in O’s way are just channelling (East German) Brecht: If the people vote the wrong way, “change the people.”
