“Peace Process”

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 under Foreign Policy and International, War and Terrorism

I’ve blogged before about the silliness of the Middle- East “Peace Process,” why it’ll never work and why Israel just needs to take-off the shackles and have at it.

Another WSJ column, “Peace Processes Never Work,” prompts this:

Peace happens when the policies of Side A become malign enough to the continued success and peace of Side B that Side B chooses to spend the money and lives to erase Side A.

Non-erasure of Side A always results in higher cost and future wars than had Side B erased Side A to begin with. This is why WW1 resulted in WW2, and WW2[…]

West/Ryan 2012

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 under Domestic, Politics

Here is the best possible ticket I have seen thus far for 2012.

It brings experience in domestic and foreign matters, military and civilian. It protects the US, protects that part of the world under mutual defense treaties with the US, that part of the world under our defense umbrella. It also lays out a path back to fiscal sanity and sustainable government.

Mostly, it is a ticket of two experienced adults ready to fight for America.

Watch the video linked to each name and see if you agree.

The RNC Strikes Again

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 under Domestic, Politics

Dr John Searle is one of the leading philosophers of the day. Conferences evidently are held to discuss his ideas even though he is still quite alive. And though he is the Susser Professor of Philosophy at Cal Berzerkely, of all places, he’s well worth listening to and reading.

What has this to do with the RNC?

My favorite quote from Searle, which I have noted in another post here, is this: “The Right is too stupid to discuss, but the Left is evil.”

And to prove the first part of his quote, as if it ever needs proving, this.

Please, please stop donating to[…]

Islamists Threaten South Park Creators with Death for Free Speech

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 under Domestic, Foreign Policy and International, Multiculturalism, War and Terrorism

So Radical Muslims now are threatening the creators of South Park with death for writing a send-up of Muslim terrorists about how it is impossible to show Mohammad on TV.  This logically follows the global riots and killing over a CARTOON. At least the cartoon was of Mohammad… The South Park episodes are about not being ABLE to show Mohammad…

(Pop Quiz: If the creators of South Park are killed, will Liberals blame them for their own (probably gruesome) deaths? Extra Credit: If the creators of South Park agree to have their free speech stifled, will Democrats, once the party of Free[…]

Logic, Laziness and Government

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 under Baby Boomers, Domestic, Politics

Let’s talk about logic and laziness, and its impact on government.

One of the conclusions I have recently reached is that the Baby Boomers are extraordinarily, historically, appallingly lazy. How did I arrive at that conclusion?

Logic.

America once was a country in which hard work was valued. Dads worked hard at the office, the factory, the construction site, wherever. Moms worked hard at home and often also did the hard work of teaching and educating our kids - kids every family had. Teachers worked hard at their jobs. They stayed until their work was done or took it home. Multiple-choice (”multiple guess”)[…]

The “Peace Process”

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010 under Foreign Policy and International, The Rest of the World, War and Terrorism

The problem with the way in which peace has been sought in the Middle East since 1948 is that all attempts have been based on not losing, or on appeasement. One would think that Neville Chamberlain proved for all time that appeasement never works with a determined foe. One would be mistaken.

No attempts have been based on history, on winning, on doing what is right, or on what’s best not only for the people of the region, but the people of the world.

Let’s begin with the latter: What would be best for the people of the region and the world?

Easy answer: Peaceful[…]

Pelosium

Monday, April 12th, 2010 under Domestic, Politics

A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.

These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

The symbol of Pelosium is PU.

Pelosium’s mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some[…]

Headlines in the Age of Obama

Monday, April 12th, 2010 under Politics

If you are at all like me you read the headlines of columns and articles, choosing how to spend your limited reading time.

This is a variation on a theme: When the headlines are like those below you know things are going south in a big hurry … almost so quickly that even reading the articles is a waste of time… you already know the result: ending up like East Germany  before the Wall came down….

OBAMA SCIENCE CZAR TELL STUDENTS: WE CAN’T BE #1 INDEFINITELY… or, how Obama is forcing second-tier status on the only successful nation on the planet… whether[…]

It Keeps Getting Worse

Thursday, April 8th, 2010 under Domestic, Politics

Now kids can’t be interns at private-sector companies.

Only at left-wing liberal interest (taxpayer, or donor-funded) organizations bent on the destruction of the private sector, but not at productive companies.

Where does this guy get this power? This is LEGISLATION.. not execution of legislation. It is, like so much else this SOB does, simply not Constitutional.

… but WAIT!  There’s MORE!

American youth unemployment - those under 25 - will rise to European levels as Obama and Pelosi impose unsustainable European social welfare programs on our formerly free country.

Here are the current youth unemployment levels there, from the WSJ:

In the final month[…]
