Ryan on Healthcare
Friday, March 19th, 2010 under Domestic, HealthcareRep Paul Ryan (R, WI) is easily the leading Congressional intellect on Obamacare and the budget and fiscal future of America. He as the numbers, the experience and the intelligence to integrate what’s going on and let you know what it actually menas 10, 20 and more years downstream.
This is a 7:21 video you should watch.
I’m thinking Coburn/Ryan 2012….

Friday, March 19th, 2010 under Domestic, Healthcare, PoliticsI find interesting the concept that perhaps the passage of this unconstitutional bill (a violation of enumerated powers, the 9th and 10th Amendments and the Takings clause, and, if using Deem and Pass, of Art 1, Sec 7) could be the catalyst for a return to Constitutional government.
There is no way America will take this piece of garbage lying down.
Unlike Lefty Baby Boomers who came of political age by running away to Canada in the 1960s rather than stand on principle and go to jail (as did Cassius Clay/ Muhammad Ali at the cost of his title; and which would[…]

Thursday, March 18th, 2010 under Domestic, HealthcareThe only word I can find is, “Awesome.” Watch this 50-sec video…. Awesome.
It’s about time some of the GOP in the Congress started understanding - and using - their power for the good of We The People…

Thursday, March 18th, 2010 under Domestic, HealthcareThis is a VERY good short read.
An unemployed, intelligent, professional healthcare provider understands what’s going on in the HC bill… and she sat right in front of The Messiah at his Ohio Lie Fest, I mean HC rally:
So, two questions:
1. Why does Obama NOT understand whats in his own cram-down bill?
2. Why does he continue to lie to America, even one-on-one, face-to-face? It isn’t as though anyone still believes him - why does he find it necessary to continue to lie to the people paying his salary?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010 under Domestic, HealthcareI don’t always agree with Dick Morris, but this seems to be right on-target.
In addition to the Medicare cuts he discusses, remember that Obamacare will cause huge increases in state-funded Medicaid, adding state tax increases to the fed tax increases that come along with Obamacre. (This is what the Cornhusker Kickback is all about: YOU paying for the Medicaid bill in Nebraska - in addition to your own state’s Medicaid bills…)
Already in WA state, Walgreens has stated it will accept NO new Medicaid patients at the pharmacies after 16 April, joining several other pharmacies in WA in refusing Medicaid. The number of physicians,[…]

Thursday, March 18th, 2010 under Domestic, PoliticsThis is a new fund setup by Sen Jim DeMint (R, SC) to nominate and elect Conservatives. Please consider donating to, and joining it.
Since the GOP just had 15 Senators vote AGAINST earmark reform, it is past obvious that the GOP is giving conservative voters no reason not to stay home in November, rather than to re-capture the government from the socialists intent on destroying the Constitution, the economy, and the future of our children.
Philosophical point: Readers know that I view the stance of the GOP on social issues (abortion, gay rights) as incorrect (i.e. CRAZY). Those readers will note that[…]
Continue ReadingThe CBO says Your Obamacare Bill Around 25% of Your Net Income
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010 under Domestic, HealthcareFor those of you making around $100K - not enough to buy a decent house in LA, SF, Seattle, DC, Chicago, New England, or to be able to send your kids to college… your bill for Obamacare, according to the CBO (run by Dems in a Dem Congress, BTW), will be about 25% of your net income, or about $14,700. For the mid-level plan.
So the Democrats are going to take about 50% of your Gross for income taxes at the state and federal level, they are going to tax you for investments you make, they are going to tax your[…]
Continue ReadingPerhaps Calling Democrats “Totalitarians” Gives Totalitarians a Bad Name?
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 under Domestic, Healthcare… In the unlikely event that thinking people need more proof of my previous post that Democrats don’t beleive in Democracy and are, in fact, totalitarians, this just in from the House:
The House Totalitarian “leadership” is weighing a rules change that will allow them to “deem” the Senate bill passed — without a vote in the House.
Ironically enough, this is begin called the “Slaughter” solution. No - not after what it will do to our freedoms, liberties, medical care and economy - but after the Dem Congresswoman who thought it up, Louise Slaughter (D, NY).
No House vote on the Senate bill.[…]
Continue ReadingAre Democrats REALLY Totalitarians? REALLY?
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 under Domestic, Healthcare, PoliticsMany friends and acquaintances accuse me of being over-the-top when I insist on calling the Democrat Party the “Totalitarian Party.” They are certainly entitled to their opinion.
I wonder, however, what they make of this language of The Majority Leaders’ Amendment to current version of Obamacare?
Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part:
“… it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”
This is how totalitarians rule. This is not how Americans govern themselves.
If this bill passes and[…]

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 under Domestic, PoliticsVery little actually shocks me anymore in the political realm, but I certainly was shocked at Obama’s attack on the Supreme Court during the State of the Union speech.
Chief Justice Roberts as noted here his view of the “troubling” remarks.
But this isn’t about politics. This is about courtesy.
The Justices show-up as a courtesy to the President and Congress. No official attendance requirement exists. Just Thomas stopped coming years ago. As Roberts noted, the speech has “degenerated into a pep rally” for one side v the other.
Even that is fine as far as it goes.
But for a host, Obama, to attack a[…]
