Update on Brown v Coakley in MA

BTW - IF you haven’t yet donated to Brown, please do here. Thanks.

And there are reports coming from MA that, if Brown wins, the State and/or the Senate will delay his swearing-in until after the vote on Obamacare:

BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts’s top election official says it could take weeks to certify the results of the upcoming U.S. Senate special election. That delay could let President Barack Obama preserve a key 60th vote

This would be hard to believe except for the fact that it is the MA Secretary of State saying it, and the MA Dems did an end-run around the same rules in 2007 in order to get their guy insallted before a vote in which they needed him:

Galvin [MA Secy of State] bypassed the provision in 2007 so his fellow Democrats could gain a House vote they needed to override a [Bush] veto …”

Oh, and Barney Frank says it’d never happen - so it’s very likely true.

Delaying certification would be a power-play by the Democrat party to overrule the voters of MA. I know there remain voters who think the Democrats believe in democracy, but, seriously.. really? Still….?

…highlighting that it matters not how many votes one gets but rather who is doing the oounting.
