It is becoming clearer daily that America needs an Independent as President in the next cycle.
The GOP, captive to the religious right and their disastrous stand on abortion basically has ceded the future of America to the farthest-left ideologues ever to govern America.
NOTHING is more important to the GOP than abortion – not national security, intelligence collection and analysis, defense, education, capitalism, wealth creation, employment, tax policy, the future of the country… NOTHING.
How stupid is that?
In fact, a strong case can be made that the cultural and electoral decline of America can be placed squarely at the feet of Conservatives and the GOP. I know, because I made that case here.
Democrats can’t wait to destroy the freedoms and liberties that have defined America since before its founding.
Increasing numbers of voters really don’t see the difference between the two parties on almost every issue.
We need an Independent as President. Perhaps he, or she, can work with the voters – and hammer a Congress held in abysmal disrespect into submitting to the will of those voters on issues from funding health care (we don’t have a health care problem – we have a payment for huge health care bills problem, BTW), to defense, to taxes, education, the myth of climate change, and the really large issues that must be dealt with.
No one trusts the GOP. Heck, I’m a Conservative and I can’t STAND the GOP.
The Right hates the Left. The Left hates the Right. And the Center – independents and non-ideologues – can’t stand either one.
Safety tip: It’s the CENTER who will decide the next Congress and President.
Look at the RNC itself. Steele, an accomplished African American came into the position of Chairman with high hopes and immediately put his entire family on the payroll at salaries inflated hugely beyond what they had been under the previous Chairman. Fixing what is widely viewed as a corrupt party with more corruption? Giving voters just one more reason NOT to vote for the GOP? How dumb was that?
Take the last election cycle: the GOP candidate was despised by half his party – and he proved them right by giving his last forceful speech on why we should vote FOR him the night of his nomination, then sleepwalking through the most lackluster campaign since Bob Dole’s.
He never DID attack his opponent; he never DID tell voters why we should vote for McCain rather than Obama. Rather than fighting for America when all of America really needed the GOP nominee to do so – he whined his way through a kumbaya-can’t-we-all-just-get-along-my-opponent-really-is-a-good-guy campaign in the midst of the worst economy, the worst ideas to deal with it, a war being fought by “leaders” who don’t want to kill the enemy, and global idiocy on Iran, North Korea, and Islamism. And he ran that idiotic campaign against an inexperienced man we KNEW hated America, Western values, capitalism, the Middle Class… and yet McCain never – not even ONCE – fought against that anti-American we now have in the White House.
Look at the next presidential election cycle: The man on whom many on the Right have been pinning their hopes, Gov. Tim Pawlenty, has just hired McCain’s strategist… there’s an oxymoron for you. So now Pawlenty is D O N E.
Jindal? After his disastrous answer to the SOTU speech? Toast.
Jeb Bush? Wrong last name…
The GOP is dead. Those who don’t see this have on blinders.
And on the Democrat side? The farthest-left President America has ever had: Obama. In nine short months in office let’s look at his accomplishments: The dollar, at historic lows no longer is the world’s reserve currency, Americans are another several trillion in debt, the Democrats’ “stimulus” plan – has resulted in ZERO stimulus… and unemployment over 10%, in the takeover of the private sector by unions and the government, Dems have pushed anything and everything to increase union membership – though union households are hardest hit by Democrat policies from unionized education ensuring their ignorance, to the enormous increases in federal debt for which they and their kids will pay. Obama and the Democrats have not closed GITMO, withdrawn from Iraq, come up with any semblance of policy for Iran or North Korea.
The Democrat president has traveled the world to apologize for America for creating the wealth keeping the world employed, for keeping a defense strong enough that the countries of the West and the civilized world have absolved themselves of taxes to pay for their own defense – instead cycled that money into unsustainable social programs that they now insist we also replicate – without a thought that doing so will mean we can no longer pay for their defense needs.
Idiots. Yet we have an entire party in-thrall to the opinions of failed European states.
He has apologized to the world for America keeping the world at peace for 70 years, and done anything and everything he can to ensure the decline of America.
He even brags about – and sends his cabinet out to brag about – the LACK of American exceptionalism. I guess he hasn’t enough education to understand that, for nearly two centuries America has been THE go-to place on the entire planet for anyone seeking a brighter future BECAUSE of our EXCEPTIONALISM.
This is not the change the Center voted for. It isn’t the change most Democrats voted for. Obama is an embarrassment to thinking people globally – especially after the recent Nobel laugher.
America quite obviously is at a point in history where one party disappears and one or more new ones replace it. It’s happened before. Probably time for it to happen again. The GOP needs to disappear – FAST.
Neither America nor the world can afford another four years of the anti-American, anti-wealth, anti-capitalism, anti-family, anti-education, anti-Westerner in the White House…and we sure as hell can’t afford any more of Barney Frank or Nancy Pelosi, Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer, Murtha, etc…
We ALSO can’t afford a Palin presidency. What an utter catastrophe that would be.
A new party is needed – one not beholden to the Far Right or MoveOn, but interested in America – first, last and always.
AND WE NEED THAT PARTY NOW.
Basically, nearly ALL of the Right hates Obama’s policies, much of the Center dislikes his policies, and the hard Left is increasing attacks daily. According the Rasmussen polling, arguably the most centrist pollster, more than 50% of Americans strongly dislike Obama’s policies… that means that even some who voted for him can’t stand what he is doing to America.
Will the Center vote for the GOP in 2010? Not a chance. Those pundits who insist that Obama and Pelosi are the best gifts the GOP has for the mid-terms… are as wrong as can be. The Center doesn’t trust the GOP – and rightly so.
The Center will stay home in November of 2010, ensuring the further erosion of what personal liberties remain in America, of what capitalism – the greatest creator of wealth in the history of the planet – remains after Obama and Pelosi… I’m sorry… as Obama and Pelosi continue their assault on America, the West, capitalism, the Middle Class and the freedoms and liberties of our citizens.
Why? Because no one in their right mind trusts the GOP based on their actions, platform and demands, and no intelligent person wants to be held captive to the anti-abortion wing controlling the GOP.
Millions of voters will NEVER vote for the GOP as long as the abortion and homosexuality planks remain in the party’s platform, period.
Yet – look at the Roe Effect: Since the 1973 decision, about 20MM liberal voters have been aborted by their parents… within 20 more years, millions more liberals will have been aborted in a self-induced holocaust against Liberals. Why the GOP hates this is an unknown.
Because of abortion and gay rights, young voters by the tens of millions, voters who want freedom, liberty, good schools, low taxes, a strong America, will NEVER vote GOP – PERIOD.
We – all of America – badly need a new party. We badly need a new President. We badly need a new Congress – one that actually is representative of the country .
The GOP must be assigned to the dustbin of history.
For America to move forward, the country must have a new party of new thinkers, new doers, believers in America and her promise.
Or we will prove Obama right – that we are not longer exceptional.
And that’s NOT the legacy I want to leave to MY kids.
How about you?
