For the sake of space, I show only every five years, with the exception of 2003-2008, as they are current.

1972-2005 are ACTUALS from various sources such as the CIA Factbook, IRS and Census.

2006-2008 are ESTIMATES from these same sources.

2008–2040 are PROJECTIONS based on the historical average increases in each category 1972-2005. They do NOT include whatever “stimulus” Pelosi, Reid and Obama will deliver unto us.

So -  Dem president is coming to town and spending money like water for his inauguration. And the change would be…????

And WE have to pick up the tab for this?

I mean there seem to be lots of Dem constituents - you know, the downtrodden, the little guy, etc., who certainly could use a few bucks. So this FNG is going to spend a few hundred Mil on his coming-out party?

Where in the Constitution does it say the Federal Government has the right to tax citizens for an inauguration? Balls? Parties? I can’t find that part…..

Geithner, Insanity and the GOP

President Elect Obama has proposed Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary. 

But Geithner didn’t pay Social Security or Medicare taxes for several years, despite constant reminders from his employers, the IMF. 

Now, you or I would go to jail for this. 

But not Geithner. He’s “contrite” and made an “honest mistake.”

Help me out here. He is a financial professional about to take over Treasury, and it’s an “honest mistake” when he fails to pay his taxes?
