Sen. Obama and his wife present themselves as concerned about the downtrodden, the average Joe and Jane, those who try but are having a hard time making it.
Sen. Obama wants to increase the tax load on the “rich” (whoever they are) to help the “poor” move forward.
But – doesn’t charity begin at home? Doesn’t one ensure the comfort, the education, the standard of living of one’s own family first, before one looks outside?
Isn’t this just basic? Just foundational to the family, to society, the culture and the country?
“I’m my brothers’ keeper. I’m my sisters’ keeper… we rise and fall together,” Barack said just three weeks ago.
So why is Barack Obama’s brother living in poverty through cunning and his fists (“I am good with my fists”) halfway around the world in Nairobi?
Why is George Hussein Obama, of whom Barack wrote in his book, “a beautiful boy with a rounded head,” (what lilting prose!) living in a 2M x 3M shack – about 60 square feet of home house shelter? Meanwhile back in Chicago, Barry & Michelle have a three-story house in which it is doubtful even a single bathroom is only 60 square feet?
Barack Obama’s Senate salary is $169,300; Michelle is always whining about how hard it is to get by on her meager $300,000 salary (and $600 earrings).
Yet his brother – and her brother-in-law – seems to be “getting by” on $1.00 per month, or $12.00 per year, or 0.0026% of the annual salary of Barack & Michelle. Probably lacks health care, vacations and a pension, too.
You may or may not like George Bush, but he has sent more money to Africa than any of his predecessors, upwards of $15B. Can’t Barack and Michelle find a buck or two to send their brother’s way in Nairobi?
George Obama wants to get started in some courses in a local trade college. Why don’t Barry & Michelle bring the brother home and enroll him in a school here, put him up, ensure his health and general welfare… spread the wealth a bit? Do a little personal income redistribution for the sake of fairness?
“Michelle, honey, guess who’s coming to dinner?” Riiiiight.
If this guy won’t help his own brother, how, exactly, will he help needy Americans?
I’m a moderate Conservative. I can’t even imagine being this un-compassionate about any part of my family.
People are going to vote for this guy?
