“Enemy” is NOT a Difficult Concept

What is it about the word “Enemy” that seems to boggle so many Baby Boomer minds?

It isn’t as though it is an ambiguous word. It isn’t. It means: Bad guys who want to kill you.

Dictionary.com defines it as follows:

“A person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent.”

We all understand that Democrats don’t understand the above, that everything bad in the world is America’s fault and we really don’t have any enemies other than the Dead White European Males who gave the world liberty, freedom and the rule of law, and whose descendants are responsible for everything good in the world for the last 400 years.

But what is it about our putatively Republican State Department that doesn’t understand the word? Funding the Muslim Brotherhood and various Islamist terrorist organizations?

Our tax dollars at work?

It really fries me that we have adults – well, Baby Boomers, actually – who actually believe in the nonsense of Hearts and Minds, that we can be nice to existential enemies and then all sit down over hot dogs and beer at a baseball game and sing Kumbaya in the 7th inning.

Look – these people want to kill us. They want to destroy the West. They go to school in America as well as the world over in Saudi-funded Madrassas at which they are taught only two things: Koran memorization and how to hate the West.

They HATE women. They HATE freedom. They HATE democratic principles. They HATE gays. They HATE Western Liberalism (the real thing not the PC Leftie illiberal nonsense of today; the kind FDR, Truman, Scoop Jackson and Joe Lieberman represent).

We won’t convince 7th Century ignorant, illiterate, misogynistic, bigoted tribal people to smile at those their religion tells them to kill as we walk hand-in-hand with our children to a coed Kindergarten, no matter how much the Left wants us to. Islamists are a 7th-Century tribe demanding that the entire world live in the material and intellectual squalor of the 7th Century.

Intelligent, civilized, educated people (few of those anymore – thanks, teachers unions!) understand that these people can be A) quarantined, or B) killed.

Isn’t it time we stopped helping our enemies spread their hate and death?

But FUNDING THEM WITHOUR TAX MONEY? People who were killed in 9/11 paid taxes to fund this enemy? Kids whose parents were whacked by airplanes are now paying taxes – or did on their parent’s estates – to fund these barbarians?

And a GOP State Department is doing this? Isn’t it past time for at least the Republicans to grow up?

Lenin once said: “When the time is right we will make great concessions and overtures of peace to the capitalists and they will sell us the rope with which we will hang them”

What is it about the Left and Islamists? We will sell them the hatred to kill us all – male and female, black and white, Democrat and Republican – and then they will?

Did our parents and grandparents send tax dollars to Imperial Japan? To NAZI Germany? Of course not – they were adults and knew they had a war to fight. They’d already seen in the ashes of WWI what happens when you fight a war but don’t destroy the enemy: Another war.

Isn’t it time the Boomers grew up and realized we have a war to fight? A real war? A general war? An unconditional-surrender kind of war?

John Stuart Mill, and influential British Liberal, once wrote:

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”

America has never won a “hearts and minds” “war”. That’s because there is no such thing. Either you believe in your principles and are willing to destroy those who want to destroy you – or you don’t. There is no in-between here.

And if we don’t believe, why are we killing America soldiers and Marines? For that matter, if we don’t believe in our principles, why are we killing terrorists?

Republican families will have to deal with Islamists, and I don’t want my kids killed fighting them or killed by them – which is what will happen if we cease fighting them before they are vanquished.

Democrats don’t have children so their outlook on war and the future is irrelevant – why care about the opinions of a party that has no children, right? It would be illogical to do so.

Baby Boomer politicians need to take this war seriously and fight it. At the very least, they must stop funding the enemy.

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.
