No, Ms. Digga, America cannot put a man on the moon

In this column on the Democrat Primary campaign in Pa., a voter unconsciously laid bare the single largest issue in our country today. Of course the journalist didn’t grasp it.

“They can put a man on the moon but all they can do for poor people is give out blocks of cheese?” asked Cindy Digga, resources consultant at the Fayette county community action agency.”

America cannot put a man on the moon, and therein lies the problem.

Our current elites, on both sides of the aisle, did not and can not put a man on the moon.

That was their parents, the last generation of Americans which actually reached maturity, actually thought about the future instead of immediate gratification.

Their kids, the Baby Boomers, have given us nothing but a zillion ways to watch TV. And PC and whining about “offensive speech” (you know, the kind the First Amendment specifically was created to protect).

This is not a Left-Right issue; it is a generational issue.

Rather than energy self-sufficiency through use of domestic resources of well over 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, Boomers have built an economy sending billions of our dollars overseas to ignorant tribal leaders buying guns and explosives to kill American soldiers there to defend the locals against those we are funding.

This makes sense?

Is a piece of mosquito-infested ice smaller than a parking lot at the mall worth the price we now are paying to fight terror we fund at the gas pump? For that is what the footprint of the equipment would be.

And for those whining about the beauty of ANWR – have you been to this proposed drilling space? My brother, a lifelong member of the Sierra Club, has backpacked across this “icy, bug-ridden swamp lacking any aesthetic qualities whatsoever.”

His response to the ANWR debate? “Drill it.”

Baby Boomer elitists bloviate about terror, yammer about the deaths of American warriors – and then refuse to become energy self-sufficient other than through denial of modernity.

We can become energy-independent just by exploiting our own resources. And we’d do so in a far more environmentally sound way than does the Middle East.

Rather than educate their children through intelligent curricula and competitive methods and procedures, we have a jobs program for the group with the single lowest SAT scores, “Educators” destroying the lives of tens of millions of children whose futures have been sacrificed to ensure that tens of thousands of unintelligent, unmotivated “educators” still have jobs. (Remember when they were called “Teachers,” and did?)

Rather than recognize that clean air and water are a necessity for all of us and our future, the Baby Boomer Right tries to block reasonable environmental regulation.

Rather than recognize the stupefyingly obvious – no woman of child-bearing age in America ever has lacked access to legal abortion, and that, if Roe were overturned the vast majority of states immediately would legalize abortion, the Right Baby Boomers are taking the GOP on a path to an extinction of Neanderthal proportion.

And rather than realize that Baby Boomers of both sides are killing the American Dream – the Left through Nanny State overregulation, the Right through the sheer stupidity of not giving intelligent young voters a modern alternative to the ignorant, Luddite idiocy of the Left — these Baby Boomer-driven policies only are getting worse.

In the event you have been living in a phone booth for the past 40 years, here’s a news flash: Elections will get more shrill, provide less intelligent discourse and result in fewer thoughtful leaders until Baby Boomers simply die off.

Left Boomers can’t stand that they have not transformed America into the Marxist utopia of which they have dreamt since the 1960s. As they age and get closer to inconsequentiality they will become more destructive as they flail about trying to ensure institutionalization of the socialist doctrines in which they so fervently and ignorantly believe (see “educators,” above).

The socialist doctrines that killed hundreds of millions of people in the 20th Century

The socialist doctrines that have destroyed the European demi-continent

The socialist doctrines that have failed each and every time they have been applied.

Right Boomers can’t stand the idea that the Left sometimes is correct – the environment, abortion, homosexuality; that two issues on which the Right stupidly has decided to stake the future of our country, abortion and homosexuality (neither the province of a government of limited powers) have forced tens of millions of voters to vote the lunacy of the Boomer Left.

Until this cohort leaves the stage America and the world will continue to descend away from a future which could have been – should already have been – far brighter than we can see today.

No, Ms. Digga, America cannot put a man on the Moon.

And that sums up the destruction Baby Boomers have wrought.

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.
