Problems in Obama-land?
A recent poll suggests problems in Obama-land.
Against McCain, Obama lost ground among women - from 57 percent in February to 47 percent in April. Obama dropped 12 points among women under 45, 14 points among suburban women and 15 points among married women.
So - women are falling out-of-love; the blush is off the rose. They’ve had their swoon and puppy love with the handsome young stranger and now go back to reality - a man who can and will defend their children.
He also lost nine points or more among voters under 35, high-income households, whites, Catholics, independents, Southerners, people living in the Northeast and those with a high school education or less.
The young’uns also are over the swoon, it seems. Yeah, Obama was nice and non-rabid and bipartisan and all the stuff the young think they are for – until they think about what that means in the real world, and then, well… Wright proved Obama both rabid and partisan, as did Meeks.
(Sure, it’s nice to say it isn’t Obama that is racist, it’s those other guys. Sorry - when you sit in a church listening to that trash for decades, it’s what you believe, too, regardless of your unwillingness to say so out of fear of being labelled an “oreo” and losing your street cred..)
Obama also lost among the white whine sect all over the map, but mostly it seems in Blue states.
Interesting, that, isn’t it?
And those with less than a High School education? Losing them, too, though they predominantly are Democrats.
And McCain hasn’t even trotted out that nice letter he wrote Obama in 2006 about bipartisanship. Yet.
