Multiculturalists and Tibet

With Tibet again in the news isn’t it interesting to note who is doing – or threatening – what to whom?

Of all the government Executives in Europe, which is threatening to boycott the Opening Ceremonies? The one the Leftists hate – Sarkozy.

Well, where are the Lefties? Where are the Euro-socialists so enamored of Human Rights (in their terminology)? Why aren’t the leaders of those countries threatening boycotts? Don’t they believe in Human Rights?

Or – perhaps – they are “multiculturalists” believing that – hey it’s China’s culture and country – who are we in the West to complain about another culture and country – that’d be Western Imperialism, wouldn’t it? I mean, hey, if they want to jail their dissidents, imprison those who speak freely, hold hostage in house-arrest those with a belief in Liberty, that’s their business, right? It’s their culture after all.

The Leftists find themselves between a rock and a hard place, don’t they? Between yammering for Rights and recognizing other cultures.

Maybe they’ll even acknowledge the superiority of the West in the area of Human Rights?

As we have seen – and heard – for years now, when given a choice between supporting Western-style Human Rights and supporting anti-American ideas, thoughts, beliefs, rumors and governments, the Lefties will choose anti-Americanism over free speech and liberty every day of the week.

Except when another culture tries to act differently from American cultural standards.

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.
