Gay Marriage, Judiciocracy and GOP Complicity

As always, the GOP will misunderstand the fundamental issue behind the intelligent reaction to California’s Supreme Court ruling overturning the democratically-expressed will of 61% of the voters of that large, diverse state.

The issue isn’t Gay Marriage.

The issue is four judges overturning the will of millions of voters.

The GOP has, is and will continue to decline as a brand as its members age and as young Americans refuse to vote – ever – for a party so wrong on homosexuality and abortion.

Whether the Left likes it or not – in fact, whether the Right likes it or not, America is not a theocracy nor a judiciocracy. We don’t want to be run by religious leaders – whether their religion is Christianity, Islam or Global Warming. We also don’t want to be run by judges – unelected, unaccountable, irresponsible judges.

But it is the GOP, by allowing itself to continue to be ruled by the Far Right fringe that is the problem.

Young Americans – running start-up business trying to become successful in a high-regulatory environment, raising young families stuck with enormous tax loads, raising young children stuck in asinine schools, trying to reach the American Dream while stuck with taxes to pay for free school meals for kids with cell phones – simply will not vote for a party so egregiously wrong on abortion and homosexuality.

There are NO women of child-bearing age in America who have ever lacked access to legal abortion. That will not change. Ever.

Homosexuality has always been with us and never resulted in the downfall of a civilization or culture.

And as long as the GOP refuses to throw overboard the social conservatives, everything from taxes to the economy to judiciocracy (judi-idiocy?) to the education of our children will continue to decline – and to ruin America.

Abortion may be bad. It may be disgusting. It may be wrong.

But it is not more wrong than the loss of a culture and civilization through unionized teachers and illegitimately-grasped power of the judiciary.

And until young Americans are given an opportunity to vote for a party that (once was) responsible in spending, taxes, schools, and which perhaps can be again, they will continue to vote for the party that is destroying America and the West.

Unless the GOP understands this, the adolescent Left will be running America for the foreseeable future.

And that is worse than anything I can even imagine.

About Alex Scipio

About Alex Scipio: Alex moved out of the People's Republic of California to the Free State of Arizona, finally tiring of the lack of the Bill of Rights, the overgrown idiocracy, and the catering to non-Americans & welfare recipients. He still wonders how America got from Truman, Eisenhower, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to the Liberal and Conservative extremes so badly managing America today. And, yes, islam DOES need to be annihilated. And doing what he can to get folks away from the extremes of political life.
