Multiculturalism? Really?
Have you noticed that those insisting on identifying themselves as “Multiculturalists” are the same people demanding Western – particularly American – rights, liberties, environmental practices, etc.?
How the media, politicians and pundits can let this go one unchallenged for years escapes me.
Seriously – objectively and non-ideologically: Scratch a “Multiculturalist” and an American Imperialist bleeds.
Child labor laws not recognized in Asian sweatshops? That’d be Western child labor cultural practices.
Pirating intellectual property (movies, software)? That’d be in violation of Western concepts of intellectual property.
Lack of women’s rights in South America and Asia and Africa? That’d be American concepts of women’s rights. (Not even just Western as American Women’s rights concepts are not universally recognized even with the West.)
Environmental practices not up to snuff? That’d be American concepts of environmentalism.
At the end of the day, American liberals demand American cultural practices everywhere while convincing themselves, the media (I know, that’s redundant), and the rest of America that they hold other cultures to be equal or even superior.
Of course, they do not.
If they did they would accept that their demands for our cultural practices to be established in other cultures contradict their self-stated notions of “multiculturalism.”
Their own words and actions belie their conceit.
Time to resist the nonsensical claims of self-anointed “multiculturalists” and call them what they are: American Imperialists intent on remaking the world in America’s image, all the while insisting that America is a bad place - and trying to destroy it.
And if you want to know how one mind can hold the conflicting demands of “multiculturalism” and American cultural practices, you need look no farther than American teacher’s unions.
The sheer ignorance of a “Multiculturalist” astounds those with working brain cells.
